How To Connect Your Microsoft Teams Account

To get started with connecting your Microsoft Teams account, you will need to head to the 'Integrations' page of your 10to8 account.

On the 'Integrations' page, you will see a section called 'Video Conferencing'. Click on the Microsoft Teams icon here. This will take you to the page you can set up your connection.

On this new page, you will see a green 'CONNECT MICROSOFT TEAMS' button. Clicking this will begin the process of integrating your accounts.

Look for this button in your account.

Once pressed, you will be prompted to log into your Microsoft Teams account. Once you have logged in, you will be redirected to a page that shows the following:

click the hyperlink to go back to your account

You should then be redirected back to the Microsoft Teams 'Integrations' page. Now, your status should update to show you are connected to Microsoft Teams.

Your status will update to show you are successfully connected

How To Use Microsoft Teams With 10to8

To ensure that your meetings automatically generate Microsoft Teams meetings, there are a few things you will need to be aware of.

  • This only works for bookings with the location 'Online / Phone'
  • If you have connected a Microsoft Teams account, this connection is only for yourself - your colleagues would need to connect their own accounts too, in order for meetings to generate for themselves
  • If you use the '10to8 Basic' Email template, your customer may not receive the join meeting button in their communications. We recommend the use of the '10to8 Classic' email template, for online bookings.

You can check that your services are set for the 'Online/Phone' location by going to 'Set Up' > 'Services', clicking onto each service you offer, and checking the 'location' setting for that service. If it says 'A Combination of Above', please reach out to 10to8 Support, who can confirm the locations for that service.

Microsoft Teams & Zoom

If you have connected both Microsoft Teams and Zoom, your customer can choose their preference when they place their booking.

If you book on behalf of your customers, from the 10to8 calendar, it will default to Zoom.

If the customer has previously picked their preference, and you are booking on their behalf this time, it will use their previous preferred conferencing software.
