On the Grow Plan and above, we offer the ability to create Rooms.

SECTIONS


Rooms can be especially useful to clinics or other businesses having staff seeing multiple customers and sharing the same premises.

Setting up Rooms

  1. Please visit 'Set Up' 'Locations' > 'Rooms' within your account:
  2. Once enabled the feature, you can add an unlimited number of rooms by clicking the + Add rooms button:
  3. Once added, each room will have its own calendar on your 10to8 account and can be assigned to bookings, too. 


Please note, Rooms can be viewed in the Calendar on Day view only. To select and view a Room in the Calendar go to 'Calendar', click on the Settings icon at the top-right, and select the Day view. 




Once configured, a new drop-down menu will appear at the top-left next to the Staff selection bar. 

This will allow you to choose Rooms


If you want to make a booking and assign it to a Room, simply click on a slot in the diary or click the shortcut booking icon (for more info on how to make a booking see here). The booking form will now give you the option to also select a room for your appointment:



The Room allocated to a booking will show in the booking details, too. Please note Rooms are only visible internally at a staff level. Your customers won't be able to book a specific room or view the Room assigned to an appointment by the staff.





All bookings assigned to a room can be viewed (again on Day view only) by choosing the Rooms view in the calendar and selecting a specific room from the drop-down menu as per the image below:




Rooms can be changed at any time in a booking by using the change button below and then selecting the desired room:

 


Why use rooms

If you have multiple rooms within your premises where you can take appointments, Rooms can be used to let your staff know where their appointment is taking place. 


For example, you may be running a clinic or have a language school and offer your visits or lessons in rooms #1 or #2 on the First Floor. You could define this and direct your customers to the correct room for their appointment.
