This article will illustrate how to send your booking confirmations as a request to your Customers or Staff so that they get added straight to their calendars.
In order to manage the contents of your ICS files, you will require the Grow Plan or above.

How to send ICS files to your Customers and Staff
- Go to 'Configuration' > 'Messaging' > 'Extra Email Settings' > Advanced Settings:
2. Select Attach ICS files to emails. An invite will be attached to the booking confirmation email:
3. Select Send all ICS files to customers as requests, even if confirmed to send the confirmation email as a request to your customer:
4. Select Send all ICS files to staff as requests, even if confirmed to send the confirmation email as a request to your Staff.
How to edit the content of the ICS file - Basic Plan or above
1. Go to 'Configuration' > 'Messaging' > 'Extra Email Settings'.
2. Use the box under Description in ICS files for customers to enter the desired content.
3. You can also make use of specific Tags.
Adding tags to ICS files
When formatting your ICS files, you are able to use tags to display certain information about the booking in the ICS file.
To include a tag, use brackets: {{example}}.
Available Tags
- {{ organisation_name }} - The name of your business
- {{ appointment_name }} - The name of the appointment
- {{ URL }} - A link for your clients to manage the booking
- {{staff_name}} - The name of the staff member taking the appointment
- {{customer_name}} - The name of the custoemr attending the appointment
