How SMS Tags Work

On the Grow plan and above, 10to8 enables you to edit and personalise the SMS messages sent to your clients.

When editing your SMS message content, you are able to add specific SMS Tags to tailor the message to your client and their particular booking. SMS Tags work as a trigger for populating certain information relating to your clients' bookings, such as the date, time and location.

Using SMS Tags is a simple and effective way of ensuring that your clients have access to all of the information they need.

To start using SMS Tags, navigate to the left-hand menu of your 10to8 account and click 'Messaging' > 'Customer Messaging'.

You'll need to make sure you have SMS messaging enabled; you will see a tick-box to do so if needs be.

Click the SMS category you'd like to edit, and then use the available text box to personalise your message and input your desired SMS Tags.
